The set matters.
The system matters.
The way they work together
is Soundworks.

A SOUND BUSINESS, FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE DESK

We bring the music side and the equipment side into the same conversation. What are you playing? Who is listening? What does the space need?

A DJ setup, a live show and a listening room start with different questions. That is where the work begins.

FEATURED / CUSTOM SPEAKERS & SOUND SYSTEMS

YOUR ROOM.
YOUR MUSIC.
YOUR RIG.

Bring the idea, the awkward room or the equipment you want to build around. The brief connects the enclosure, drivers, amplification, signal path and everyday use.

Speaker design is one part of that picture. Making the whole system work together is the rest.

SYSTEM THINKING / FIRST PRINCIPLES

NOT JUST LOUDER.
BUILT TO WORK.

Good sound is a complete chain. Start with the music and the audience, then work through routing, acoustics, processing, amplification, power and protection. No component exists in isolation.

01 / INPUTSOURCEVinyl, decks, mics, playback.
02 / CONTROLMIXGain, dynamics, headroom.
03 / PATHROUTEPatch, network and cabling.
04 / CALIBRATEPROCESSDSP, delays, crossovers, limiting.
05 / DELIVERYPOWERAmps, electrical, thermal margins.
06 / RESULTLISTENCoverage, clarity, impact.

Measure. Document. Listen again. System plans account for the actual room and operating conditions; electrical distribution, overhead rigging and exposure limits require appropriate qualified review.

DJ &
SELECTOR WORK.

The music comes first: selection, flow and the shape of a set. Bring a direction, a few reference tracks and the kind of atmosphere you want.

CONCERT &

The performers, the stage and the audience all need to be heard. Start with the venue, input requirements, monitoring and the time available to set up.

CUTS.

COMMUNITY.

The music and the makers behind it matter as much as the equipment: turntablism, scratching, records, sound-system heritage and the craft of the selector.

The North Island Turntablist Championships is in development as a true culture event—DJ battles, breaking, graffiti jams, guest selectors, workshops and youth skills. A DMC-aligned pathway is the ambition; sanctioned qualifier status and event dates have not been confirmed.
