Look closer.
Make the frame.

Bodies, glass and good questions. Start with the picture you want to make—not a bigger specification sheet.

02 / THE REFERENCE DESK

A system, not just a body.

Compare four camera systems. Use mount and sensor-format filters, then check the manufacturer’s specifications for the exact body-and-lens combination.

Learning examples, not product listings. Manufacturer specifications describe models, not condition, availability or a HUNTER offer. Images remain on the manufacturers’ own pages; no commercial image licence is implied.

03 / BEFORE THE LENS GOES ON

The mount is
only the beginning.

01

Physical fit

Record the full body and lens names, mount and adapter model. Similar brand names do not establish compatibility. Never force a mount.

02

Image coverage

Match the image circle to the sensor format. APS-C coverage on a full-frame body can mean a cropped image or unsupported combinations.

03

Electronic functions

Check autofocus, aperture control, stabilisation, firmware and any adapter limitations in the manufacturer’s compatibility guidance.

04 / THE FILM DESK

Slow down.
Look again.

35 mm, medium format and the pleasure of a limited roll. A camera that looks clean is not necessarily ready to shoot.

  1. Format & lensConfirm film format, lens mount, meter requirements and the actual camera variant.
  2. Functional testDocument shutter, transport, seals, optics and a recent test roll where relevant.
  3. Condition reportSeparate cosmetic wear from haze, fungus, corrosion and mechanical faults.
  4. Clear statusUntested, parts-only and working equipment must never share the same promise.

05 / THE CAMERA SHELF

Useful equipment.
Honestly described.

Bodies, lenses, film and accessories belong in HUNTER’s shared catalogue—not a second inventory. Verified stock and sale-ready photographs are not established, so no camera purchase is offered here.

DELLA’S Cameras is the specialist equipment desk. LETTY’S Camera Café is a separate photography-culture concept. Dealer appointments, workshop bookings and events are not confirmed.
