Each ROOTED sport page is built around access, safety, shared equipment, practical skill and a pathway forward—not just participation.
ROOTED Trail Running & Orienteering turns simple movement into practical outdoor judgment. Youth learn pacing, route planning, map/compass use, heat/cold awareness, trail etiquette and what to do when a route goes wrong.
Running footwear, basic packs, hydration, compasses, maps, markers, headlamps, first-aid kits and access to appropriate trail networks.
Outdoor leadership, race/event operations, coaching, navigation, guiding, trail stewardship and search-and-rescue awareness.

Evidence-backed relationship state: AdventureSmart has provided direct guidance, and TransRockies replied with an invitation to connect. Professional TrailBuilders Association has historical scheduling/resource-handoff evidence, but no current commitment is inferred. Trails Society of BC, athletics/orienteering organizations, footwear brands and local trail operators remain research/reference routes. Brunton is an unsent draft and is not counted as outreach. No partnership, sponsorship or delivery commitment is implied.
Equipment brands, operators, associations, coaches, technicians and local experts can all contribute to an activity page.
