Each ROOTED sport page is built around access, safety, shared equipment, practical skill and a pathway forward—not just participation.
ROOTED Sailing gives youth a practical introduction to wind, rigging, boat handling, capsize response, right-of-way and decision-making on the water.
It also creates a bridge into clubs, instructor certifications, regattas and the technical marine industry.
Dinghies, sails, masts, booms, rudders, blocks, cleats, rope, dollies, covers, repair materials, PFDs, rescue craft and trailers.
CANSail-style progression, instruction, coaching, race management, sailmaking, rigging, marina work and marine trades.

Current relationship evidence: ROOTED contacted Sail Canada; an external referral supports it as the appropriate national route, but a direct Sail Canada human reply is not verified. ROOTED contacted BC Sailing; no human reply is evidenced.
Outreach/reference lanes: Zim Sailing, Ronstan and Doyle Sails received launch outreach with no reply evidenced. Island sailing clubs and marinas remain research/reference lanes. Inclusion here does not imply partnership, endorsement, funding or delivery.
