10 / Before you join

A FEW GOOD
QUESTIONS.

Can I join before I have a team?

Yes. Register interest as an individual angler or as someone looking for a team. Tell us your region and freshwater or saltwater interests. Team formation and placement will be confirmed as the launch develops.

Is membership or tournament entry open?

Founding interest is open. Paid membership, tournament entries and program bookings will open when their terms, availability, eligibility and costs are published. Completing the interest form does not reserve a place or create a paid commitment.

How will rosters and rankings be published?

Public rosters will use approved team and competitor information. Official standings will use verified CAA event results, separated by the relevant format and division. The scoring method, tie breaks and result-review process will be available before entries open.

Can children take part?

A junior pathway is in development. A parent or guardian can register interest now; age groups, supervision, equipment and participation arrangements will be announced with each confirmed program. Please use an adult contact for the initial enquiry.

What will participation cost?

There is no charge to register interest. Membership, program and event prices are being developed and will be shown in Canadian dollars before paid registration opens. Event information will explain what is included and any additional participant costs.

Can my business sponsor, host or contribute?

Yes. Use the industry or host pathway to introduce your organization, the type of contribution you have in mind, your region and the opportunity you want to support. Contributions may involve equipment, expertise, access, venues or event support; terms are discussed directly.

Does CAA registration replace a fishing licence?

Fishing licences and applicable regulatory requirements remain separate from CAA interest registration. Use the official freshwater and tidal resource links for current requirements, and check the rules for your intended water and activity.
